Vursa 7’ Bait Casting Rod
Very nice quality and exceptional feel. The fast is definitely firm so be aware of the lures that you want to throw when ordering this model.

All good, except....
Based on watching and following Miles "Sonar" Burghoff's Sonar Fishing on YouTube I decided to order the Vursa Series rod (7'6" MH, Spinning). The rod is light, the action is right on and as a MH it held up to my pulling in a hard fighting, heavy, 35 plus inch Carp (I had no intention of hooking a Carp). The guides are very good. The only thing holding me back from giving 5 stars is this -- I hold the rod in my left hand and when I pull the rod towards me (retrieve, give a lure some action, pull to haul in a fish) it loosens the top reel seat nut - so I have to stop and tighten the reel seat nut often - if I were right handed those actions would actually tighten the reel seat nut (so it would not be a problem) . I like virtually every thing else about the rod - yet I will not be ordering additional Vursa rods due to this reel seat nut issue that I am having -- and it could just be me and the way I hold the rod, yet it is not an issue with my other rods (and if you hold the rod with your right hand it will not be an issue). I like that the rods are USA made !

Industrial strength with a luxury feel
I am an inshore fishing guide in SE Louisiana. I use the Fitzgerald Vursa Series every day. My main targeted species is Redfish. This rod is light and comfortable to extend your fishing time without wearing you out, and has the backbone to handle BIG Reds! The tip is sensitive and transmits “taps” very efficiently to the grip for a wonderful feel and experience. The tip is also a Fast-Action setup, perfect for those delicious Speckled Trout. No other rod will be found on my boat or associated with my business. “You get what you pay for” is the truest statement for this fine gear.

Best mid range rod on the market in my opinion...withstand my abuse and my fishing buddies feet and that's a huge plus cause one of em is a big ol boy...these are great rods...
