Really enjoy the feel and sensitivity of this rod. Heavy enough to drag the big girls out of the thick stuff, but sensitive to pick up subtle bites. Caught my personal best, an 8lb14oz tank, on Lake Okeechobee on 3/13/17 and couldn't have landed her without my Okeechobee Rod!
Fast tip and well balanced. Worth every penny. Paired with Lews Super Duty, hands down best combo out there for flipping and pitching.
Start by saying they package these rods very well and ship pretty quick hands down best rod Ive put in my hands definitely recommend these rods to anyone thanks for a great product
The Okeechobee rod is one hell of a rod, Ive caught bass flippin thick grass mats with it and I've caught giant smallies using a 1oz jigs with it. For me its a great all purpose rod for your bigger baits. Definitely a rod you want to have in your arsenal!
Great rod. Light, sensitive and the power to bring em air born. Doesn't matter the cover, this rod will get them out. If your looking for a premium rod this is definitely the one. Don't think, just get it and you will not be sorry. Thanks Trevor for guiding me in the right direction. I have it paired with a Lew's super duty.
When you name a rod after a lake like Okeechobee, you know you'll be able to do multiple things with it. From flipping jigs and craws in the Kissimmee grass or flipping lighter reed heads, this rod will get it done. I'm very impressed!
Light, Strong and Sensitive
Im a full time charter captain and if you havent tried a Fitzgerald rod your loosing out on your hook set these rods take very little to ser up on a bass i have turned a number of my clients on to these rods and i highly recommend them for you to try
I wanted a heavy jig and worm rod and this fits the bill. Soft tip and plenty of backbone. Great rod great price
I'm so impressed by this rod, it so well balanced, sensitive and has the backbone to muscle any large fish out of the heaviest cover. I would highly recommend this Rod it's so good I had to get a second
