This is perfect for froggin
I use this rod on Guntersville around grass and I was very impressed with the sensitivity and the solid backbone the rod has. Its perfect for throwing a frog, Carolina rig, and jigs. I also found it to be very lightweight compared to other rods I have used for the same technique.
If you are looking for a great frog rod, give this bad boy a shot! You can cast a mile with this rod and have the backbone to drive the hook home too. I love the thinner grip design compared to others in the market and on top of that, this rod is super light! Also a great "senko" rod.
I use this rod on lake Seminole in the grass for kicking frogs and popping frogs. Very stout with enough tip to throw the baits without hurting your shoulder. The new grips are very comfortable.
I have the 7ft 3in heavy it is hands down th best heavy carolina rig and light flipping rod i have ever used and for a great price
This is yet another awesome and versatile rod from the Fitzgerald line. Like most of his builds, this rod can be used for many different applications but my favorite two techniques to use this rod for are light pitching and frogging. If Im flipping grass edges like we have here on the Coosa River chain in Alabama this rod is my go to. It is also an AWESOME frog rod. It has the perfect amount of tip to let them get the frog but when you hammer down this rod has plenty of backbone to get them out of the junk. Awesome rod at an awesome price!
One disclaimer, I am not sponsored by Fitzgerald rods. I bought this rod via a Trophy Catch Coupon. I will be buying more. Finally, got to put this rod to work last weekend. First cast pulled a 4 pounder out of the pads and grass. Five casts later put a 7 pound 10 oz toad in the boat with east. paired with a Lew's lfs reel it is an awesome combo. great feel, strong back bone and casts a mile. i would recommend to anyone who likes catching big bass.
First let me start by saying that am in no way endorsed or sponsored by Fitzgerald Rods but I have been using them exclusively for the past couple years and have been beyond impressed with every one I've owned. The 7'3 Stunner is my newest edition and it's perfect for a big worm, swim jigs, and hollow body frogs. It's light and has plenty of backbone to set the hook on long casts, plus having the confidence to boat swing anything I want is nice as well. I highly reccomend the new stunner HD series
